Volunteer

Mission Together volunteers visit schools throughout England and Wales to deliver assemblies and workshops.

Many of our volunteers are retired teachers but we have people who bring a broad range of experience to our team. You just need a passion for the world mission of the Church and to care for the future of all children around the world.

We offer training and advice and you will be supported by your Diocesan Director and the team.

If you would like to learn more about getting involved with Mission Together, please ring Kasia at the Missio office on 020 7821 9755.

How you can help

August 1, 2012 | in Volunteer | by Kasia Greenwood

Mission Together needs more volunteers to visit schools and help engage more children with the global mission of the Catholic Church.  Do you think you can help?

Training is offered and if you feel it is necessary you will also be able to to shadow a volunteer at an assembly to see how it is done!  No specific qualifications are necessary, all we ask is that you have a passion for mission, a good way with children, and the desire to teach them about the world in which they live and encourage them to make it better.

We do not have any requirements on the amount of time our volunteers can give. Some volunteers are able to visit over 30 schools a year, while many will visit their nearest two or three schools. We are very grateful for all the support our volunteers give.
