The Chinese Connection

Where it all began

 
  Mission Together started as The Society of the Holy Childhood in 1843. Its aim was to save the abandoned children of China. The work with abandoned children went on until the missionaries were forced to leave China in 1948. The Franciscan nuns who looked after the children have a museum in the city of Luxemburg. In the museum they have photographs of some of the abandoned children from early in the 20th century. Some of these pictures are shown here.
