Mission Together
Hello! My name is Nadeen. You read my story on
Page One. I belong to Mission
Together in Sri
Lanka. Today is a special day. We are having a big Mission
Together celebration.
Lots of children from many parishes have travelled to take
part. We have come together to make a promise to try to follow
Jesus.

Follow the Leader
Everyone gathers for the celebration. We have
a procession, called a perahera. I blow the horn and lead the
band. The others follow.

Fact
There is a big perahera
every summer in Kandy, a big town in Sri Lanka, There is a
procession of elephants.

Share
We bring gifts to share with the
poor. Can you guess what might be in our parcels?

Pray
We light our prayer lamps. They are called
pahanas. We pray for children in Sri Lanka and for children
everywhere.
