friendship. Let's begin by using our right hands to make a Sign of
the Cross. |

| The Word of God |
Leader: |
Jesus uses his hands to show friendship.
Let's listen to a story of how he would not let his disciples send
the children away. Mark 10: 13-16. |
|
|
The story may be
dramatised.
|
| Response to the
Word |
Leader: |
In that reading Jesus welcomes children.
He lays his hands on them, blesses them and says "These are my
special friends."
Let's use our hands to show friendship.
Turn to the person on either side of you and give them a
handshake to show we are friends. We can also say at the same time,
"Peace be with you." |
|
All: |
Shake hands and
share peace.
|
| Going forth as

children who live far away and need our help because
they are poor. |
