A day in the life of Ivo

6.00am

Ivo gets up and sets off for a long walk to the Catholic school

7.30am

Lessons begin in arithmetic, English and Religious Education.

10.30am

Time for food and for the boys to trim the grass with these cutlasses.

     
11.30am

More lessons, and music-making on this giant xylophone made from logs.

 

Then its the turn of the school's dancing team to perform traditional dances.

2.00pm

School finishes. Children help at home by collecting firewood and selling fruit and vegetables.

     
 

On feast days there are big outdoor processions.
