Spring Liturgy 2007

lollipop sticks (also available from craft shops), glue, tea lights
 

Invite children to make rafts from lollipop sticks or craft sticks (children can work in pairs or groups). Ask all children to place/glue a tea light onto each raft. Invite them to remember a person or family who needs their help (e.g. Rajat and his friends) and pray for them when lighting the tea lights.
 

Children may try to sell their products at a school auction in order to fundraise for Rajat’s new boat. Alternatively, they may hold a sponsored competition (without disturbing the candles!) between all kinds of rafts and boats (e.g., speed, attractiveness, number of candles carried, etc).
