These Advent Notes may be used in a number of ways to suit
individual situations. Three main uses are suggested:

Previous Years' notes
can be found here

  1. Alongside the Advent Calendar: each week of the notes corresponds to a week on the calendar including daily prayers and activities

  2. As a complete liturgy.

  3. As a way of following the Advent Liturgical Readings: each day is inspired by the liturgical readings of that particular day and some Monday to Friday sequences take them up explicitly.

Mission Together

is a project of the Holy Childhood, one of the Pontifical Mission Societies. The Catholic Church's official and oldest children's mission organisation. It has promoted the physical and spiritual welfare of young people for over 160 years.

This year, children in England and Wales collected more than £400,000 for Zambia, Sri Lanka and the Tsunami affected areas.

The Holy Childhood worldwide collected £11 million last year which supported 3,500 child related projects throughout the whole world.
